General Motors is about to launch its new Sedan category in India and that too through its Pune plant. The new sedan being launched is Chevrolet Cruise. It is expected that the New Chevrolet Cruise will come in the market by the middle of the year 2009. News regarding the Cruise are such that the car will be produced at the GMs plant situated at Halol in Gujarat. It has come to the knowledge that the company has suffered serious business losses at North America and in Europe but still the company has been successful in seeking bail from American government so at to improve its sales in Asia pacific region without being impacting the Indian operations.
The new innovations been made by the Chevrolet Cruise is due to sales been increased in the market and that too by six percent during the month of October. The car variant which were mainly responsible for the increased sales are the Spark and the Captiva. Moreover besides increasing its sales the company is also looking forward to increase its dealer network from the present numbering 145 to 195. Besides this the company is also looking forward to increase its service stations from 148 to 198 and that too by December of the year.
